never mind the bollocks...

i have been a slacker with the updates, even for this lazy-ass blog. apologies to the six people who've been waiting. i'll try to do better in future.

citybeat has a special comics issue this week, for which i did an interview with brian k. vaughan of y: the last man fame. i talked to him about that comic for a CB article three years ago, but this time i got to meet him in person. also, this time the saga of yorick brown (pictured above in what i consider to be a foreshadow-y scene, but that's just me) is almost over, with only two issues to go.

he has a lot more going on: among other things he also writes ex machina, works for lost, and wrote the faith arc of the new buffy the vampire slayer comic, continuing the tv show. he and joss whedon have mucho geek love for each other, which is cool.

funnily enough, on the ongoing synchronicity tip, when we finished the interview and went into the parking lot so i could show him the beast (does that sound dirty?), parked next to it was a scion with a handbill-like ad for the firefly DVDs (another joss whedon creation, yo) taped to the inside backseat window.
